DESCRIPTION:The Friends of the Library is a volunteer group that helps raise funds for the library. They’re dedication helps support programming for children through adults and to make purchases to assist the library’s mission. \nThe Friends of the Library will be hosting their next fundraiser in June. Handel’s Ice Cream vouchers will be available for pre-order to help support the group’s fundraising efforts. Each voucher costs $10.00 and is good at all participating locations for 1 pint of their famous ice cream in your flavor of choice (if available). Seek out a Friends member to order or contact the Friends at Friends@fdclibrary.org. \nThe Friends group is also seeking individuals to join. We are currently looking for those with social media experience\, fundraising backgrounds or a desire to help organize and bring new ideas to the table\, or those seeking a rewarding opportunity to support a great part of the community.
